What it is
LaseMD ULTRA is a non-ablative fractional laser that resurfaces the skin using a 1927nm thulium wavelength. It delivers thousands of microscopic channels into the upper layers of the skin to target uneven tone, rough texture, dullness, and early sun damage, all without removing the surface. Because it works fractionally, it renews the skin while leaving most of it intact to heal quickly.
As those micro-channels close, the skin clears trapped pigment, smooths texture, and builds fresh collagen. It is one of the most versatile resurfacing options we offer in Cherry Creek, Denver - strong enough to make a visible difference in tone and clarity, yet gentle enough to fit into real life with only a few days of light flaking. A targeted serum can be driven into the channels right after treatment to amplify brightening and hydration.
What to expect
A LaseMD ULTRA treatment takes about 30 to 45 minutes for a full face, after a layer of topical numbing. During each pass you will feel warmth and a light prickling as the laser moves across the skin. Afterward the skin looks flushed, similar to a mild sunburn, and feels rough or sandpapery for two to four days as the treated layers turn over.
Most people return to normal activities the next day and cover any redness with mineral makeup. The light flaking clears within about a week, revealing brighter, smoother skin underneath. A series of three treatments spaced a few weeks apart delivers the most complete correction, with collagen continuing to improve for weeks afterward.
